if all else fails wag your tail

hi, people! i am so sorry i did not blog in a long time, but i have been pretty busy. my family went on a road trip and i stayed at frisky's house for 2 whole weeks! i missed them, but i had so much fun that i slept for 3 days after they got home.

we had company, too, amy, a friend of mommy came to visit for 10 days.  she is really nice and i just love her.  amy is moving to florida soon and i can't wait.

on the health front - i got fixed (what? i was broken?) and had to wear a funny collar when i came home. i didn't mind it, though, i think i looked kind of cool, like a space cadet or something. and something weird happened a couple weeks ago. one day i just couldn't walk. my back feet hurt really bad and my legs would not work good. my family was really worried and took me to the critter emergency room. they did x-rays and stuff and said i had sprained my toes. can you imagine? all that climbing up on the back of the couch to look out the window is rough on those little guys i guess. anyway, now i jump up there. i am a very good jumper.

well, better go now, everybody is taking a nap, but i know they will wake up and catch me using gmas computer again. talk to ya later

yesterday i went to the vet again (will it never stop?). this time i got 2 shots and a license. it hangs from my collar and took a little while to get used to. i could hear it jingle and i tried to see it but could not. after the vet we went to my favorite store, gma calls it pet smart. i don't know about that, but there were other dogs there and lots of things to smell. some humans tried to pet me but i don't trust any other humans very much.

i guess it's bed time and i have to go in my cage to sleep. gpa says when i don't have any more accidents in the house i won't have to sleep in there. it's not so bad. i have my blanket mommy made for me and the snuggle puppy gma gave me to keep me company and it's cozy under the desk in the living room. maybe i'll just sleep here sometimes after they say i don't have to. good night everybody.

well, there has been some talk around here about getting me a license. i'm not sure what that means, but i want to be ready when the time comes so i've been practicing. seems kind of silly to me since i can't reach the pedals without gpa's help. but, what do i know?

my humans are getting tired of letting me out to go potty all the time, but they still won't let me go in the house. instead they put in not 1, but 2 doors for me. 1 is in the door to the screened porch and 2 is so i can get outside from there. i'm having trouble learning how to go out, but it's fun coming in, especially since i have my own step to get up to my door. when my humans take some pictures i'll show you how it looks.

i'm all better. no more of that yucky medicine. they say that she made me better. that might be right, but i still don't like that vet!

my humans are always taking my picture, even when i'm not expecting it. the first one is embarrasing and definitely not my best side, but i'm showing you so you can see how bad they are. i was sleeping on moms legs and she took the picture. in the second one i'm telling her to knock it off.

i didn't have a good day today. i've been having to go pee a lot lately, i mean a lot and i haven't been able to make it outside all the time. this morning gma took me out and she said i went 4 times in 2 minutes so she called my doctor and took me to see her.
   
now, i do not like the vet at all. most other humans there are ok, but she sticks me with needles and does other stuff that i don't like. today she told mom and gma to get some of my pee for her (she is one weird human)! anyway, they took me outside and when i squatted they pushed a tray under my bottom. i sure wasn't expecting that and looked around to see what was going on. they were laughing at me so i went somewhere else to pee, but watched them over my shoulder to make sure they didn't do that again. they didn't cause they had what they wanted, gma wasn't happy cause it was pink.
   
We went back in and she came in and tried to touch me. i snapped at her and she backed off. then mom wrapped me in a towel and a female took me to another room so she could poke and prod me (no needles). i had to lay on a cold table and they did something called xray and i got to go back to my humans. when she came back in i watched her close, but she didn't try to touch me again. i heard them say bladder infection and antibiotic but i didn't know what it meant. when we got home mom squirted some bad tasting stuff in my mouth.
   
i don't pee as often, but i'm very tired. i played for a little and took a nap. now i'm going to bed. maybe i'll feel better tomorrow.
